The new high-performance UV irradiation cabin
New UV lamp technology
Due to the use of electronically self-ballasted UV lamps the economic efficiency and the comfort of the dermalight® 5000 is increased considerably. The lamps are started by an internally generated ignition voltage, therefore no external starters are necessary any more. This means for the operator, that the service life time of the lamps can be increased by up to 30%, which also leads to lower follow-up costs for necessary lamp replacements.
UV lamp equipment
The dermalight® 5000 can be equipped with up to 48 UV lamps. Especially with an equipment of 32 UV-A lamps and 16 UV-B/311nm lamps the irradiation is homogeneous and the treatment times are short. The irradiation climate inside the cabin is very agreable thanks to the reflectors with integrated ventilators behind the lamps. A separate ventilation for patients rounds out the comfort. The plexiglass panes in front of the UV lamps protect the patients and are easy and quick to clean. Optical and acoustical signals indicate failures or interruptions.
UV sensor system
The integrated UV sensors constantly measure the irradiation intensity and therefore grant an exact dosimetry. Alterations of the intensity are registred and considered at the calculation of the actual treatment time. Lamp failures can also be detected by the sensors.
Chipcard control
The chipcard control bound to the patient allows a safe, easy and documentable UV therapy. All important and relevant data are stored at the chipcard for each patient. A preprogramming prevents misuse and reduces the treatment risk to a minimum.
Touchscreen display
The menu navigation of the touchscreen display is clearly arranged, uncomplicated and safe. It is possible to enter the therapy doses in steps; this can be preprogrammed by the operator beforehand for each patient. Via an interface all relevant data can be transferred to a PC, filed and also be used for the accounting.
Patient comfort and safety
The illuminated display inside the cabin shows the rest of the treatment time for the patient. A start/stop button inside the cabin enables the patient to start and also stop the treatment by himself. The two grab poles in the cabin provide for the correct positioning and stability of the patient. For security reasons the UV lamps are switched off automatically when the door is opened. This mechanism can be unlocked, if a patient is claustrophobic – in exceptional cases this patient can be treated when the door is open.
Door stop
The dermalight® 5000 cabin has a compact and therefore space-saving construction. The cabin door can be opened either to the left or to the right, therefore the cabin can be installed even in small rooms.
